The benefits of fermented foods are numerous. They provide enzymes and good bacteria that aid in the digestion of an entire meal, inhibit inflammation, stabilize blood sugar and support the immune system. Fermented foods also contain prebiotics, which help feed the good bacteria.
It is easy to consume fermented foods to improve gut health, you just need to remember to incorporate them. One simple way is by adding fermented dips and sauces into your diet. In the Cultured Dips and Sauces Workshopwe will prepare a salsa together, have some tastings, and you will go home with recipes designed to help your gut while creating some wonderful new flavor experiences.
Class will be conducted by Bonnie Peterson, a Certified Health Coach since 2012. Bonnie has also recently received certification in the Healthy Gut Program for Practitioners. Since experiencing the benefits of incorporating cultured foods into her own diet, she has become passionate to share with others simple food prep techniques that can help them with gut health issues such as digestive distress, bloating, and constipation.
